Diagnosing Your Volvo

Today, computers control most cars. The fuel injectors, the spark plugs, the steering system (to name a few) are all told when to fire and when to move by an onboard computer system. Autohaus Northshore has the latest diagnostic equipment to identify what part of your engine or vehicle needs servicing.

When we service your Volvo, we use a scan tool to check computers for fault codes (DTC's) as there may be a small fault which could affect the safety or performance of your car. Most Volvos built after 1994 have computers for engine, transmission, ABS brakes, SRS airbags etc.

Complying with Your Volvo Log Book Servicing

We comply with manufacturer's log book servicing for your Volvo. In some circumstances, it is unnecessary to perform all the recommended servicing items and in these instances, we will explain them to you in full. For example, the manufacturer may recommend that coolant and brake fluid be replaced at periodic times. We have the equipment to test these fluids and gauge whether they do in fact, require replacement.

All servicing is carried out to the highest standard and fully documented. Service documents and records are kept for each car on our database.
