Award-winning, independent European car workshop

We provide brake and clutch services to all European car models, including Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda and Volvo models using OEM factory quality parts for your vehicle.

We can offer a substantial cost saving compared to the dealers and still offer quality guaranteed parts.

Many European vehicle have brake-wear sensors fitted to warn drivers that their brakes are due for replacement. Unfortunately, some models are not particularity accurate, often informing you that brakes are due when there is still considerable life left in them.

However, at Autohaus Northshore we will give you an honest assessment of your brake condition and let you know how much life is left in your brakes; we will not advise you to replace them unnecessarily. This can often lead to six month’s extra brake life, keeping your hard earned money in your pocket longer.

Autohaus Northshore has the latest diagnostic tools so we can carry out electronic brake repairs and reset vehicle computers once brakes are replaced.

Modern cars now have sophisticated ABS (Antilock Braking Systems) and Traction Control Systems.

European car suspensions are well-known for wearing out suspension bushes, especially castor rod bushes. Autohaus Northshore offers high quality replacement bushes to give longevity to both your suspension components and tyres.

Many European cars now have complex air-bag suspension and active suspension systems. You can trust us to diagnose your suspension problems and provide you with cost-effective, high quality solutions.

We have the equipment, the staff knowledge and experience to efficiently diagnose and repair these faults. Call us on: 02 9987 4747 or 9987 1522.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why do my wheels go so black and dusty?

When your brake pads heat up, their metallic particles get a static charge as they wear off the surface of the pad. That’s how the dark, metallic dust sticks to the wheels, both steel and alloy wheels, as well as sticking to other parts of your vehicle. Brake dust is also caused by brake rotors containing cast iron.

  • What can I do to stop it?

Ceramic brake pads are the best option to stop your wheels going black and dusty. Ceramic brake pads are made from ceramic, which is very similar to the type of ceramic used to make pottery and plates, however, it is denser and much more durable. Ceramic brake pads also have fine copper fibres embedded within them, to help increase their friction and heat conductivity.

The disadvantage to ceramic brakes is their cost. Due to the higher manufacturing costs, ceramic brake pads tend to be the most expensive of all types of brake pads. Generally, ceramic brake pads are about $100 extra per set and are only available for some models.

  • What parts should be replaced?

We always take the customer’s position into consideration with regards to recommending what and when brakes should be replaced.

Reliability and safety are always the priority when it comes to brakes.

  • Should I use genuine brakes?

There are lots of alternative brake suppliers. We use Original Equipment Manufactured parts (OEM).

The OEM brakes we supply are of the same quality as those supplied to the manufacturers, such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi and others. However, we purchase them at a wholesale price and can therefore, pass on those savings to our customers.
