Our Volvo Service
Award-winning, independent European car workshop
Welcome Volvo Drivers
Autohaus Northshore is a boutique independent European car workshop in Sydney's Northshore offering Volvo repairs and Volvo servicing.
We are an award-winning, independent European car workshop, offering European quality repairs and servicing to our customers in the Northshore, Northern Districts and Hills District.
"Great service and good pricing. They look after my golf and my wife's Volvo and have been great. They'll look after the next thing I buy when I've bought it too."
James Trimble - Local Guide
We are Your Best Alternative to Dealers
We can save you up to 30% on the service and repair of your Volvo, in comparison to dealer prices.
How Is This Possible?
We only re-invest in our technical equipment and training.
We examine your vehicle and listen to you describe your driving needs.
We shun the "replacement mentality" of dealers - we aim to repair components.
Benefit of choice
We pass on the benefit of choice in spare parts.
Firstly, we do not have expensive overheads like dealers - someone needs to pay for the all the glass and steel in the showrooms, and that's the customer. We keep our workshop functional, focussing on technical equipment and training.
Secondly, we're not bound to one supplier, like dealers. We can source parts from suppliers across Australia and internationally to ensure we acquire quality parts at the best possible price for our Volvo customer.
Alternatively, we also have the choice to purchase genuine Volvo parts from the manufacturer, which carries the premium price. We offer you the choice.
Our flexibility enables us to pass on the benefit of choice to our Volvo customers.

Our Approach to Volvo Customers
Our approach is individualised to suit our Volvo customer. We will consult with you about repairs that need doing, your budget and your timing. Often we will be able to recommend a multi-staged approach; i.e. attend to the most urgent immediately and schedule other repairs month by month. That way, you can maintain your prestige vehicle at its optimum performance while spreading your costs over a few months.
In addition, we will aim to repair components rather than opt for the "replacement mentality" of dealers. Our number one priority is to benefit our Volvo customers so that they return and refer their friends.
You can Trust our Technical Expertise in Volvo vehicles
At Autohaus Northshore, our technicians are fully trained and some have specialised in Volvo repairs.
Autohaus Northshore is run by owner/manager, Nigel Hook, who has over 24 years' technical experience in European cars, both in Australia and abroad in USA and UK. His analytical and diagnostic skills and his technical experience ensure he runs a tight ship.
The company was established in 1999 and has grown exponentially since then - a vote of confidence from satisfied customers.
Nigel leads a young, dynamic team of technicians, who like him, are passionate about Volvos. For enquiries or advice on the performance of your Volvo, call Nigel Hook on: (02) 9987 1522 or (02) 9987 4747.
Maintain Your Volvo and Reduce Unexpected Expenses
At Autohaus Northshore we are able to indicate additional repairs, servicing and checks that should be performed in order to maintain your Volvo at optimal performance and minimise unexpected expensive repairs down the road.
This in turn, protects your Volvo - your valuable investment. To discuss this further, please phone Nigel Hook on: 9987 4747.
Diagnosing Your Volvo
Today, computers control most cars. The fuel injectors, the spark plugs, the steering system (to name a few) are all told when to fire and when to move by an onboard computer system. Autohaus Northshore has the latest diagnostic equipment to identify what part of your engine or vehicle needs servicing.
When we service your Volvo, we use a scan tool to check computers for fault codes (DTC's) as there may be a small fault which could affect the safety or performance of your car. Most Volvos built after 1994 have computers for engine, transmission, ABS brakes, SRS airbags etc.
The Safety of Your Volvo
Volvo's unprecedented reputation for safety requires special attention.
Brake & Clutch Experts
Autohaus Northshore is a brake and clutch specialist; that's important when it comes to safety, there's nothing more important than being able to stop properly. It's a service that Autohaus Northshore takes very seriously. We always provide you with a free, no obligation inspection of your vehicle's braking system.
In addition, a complete safety inspection will help to minimise potential expensive repairs in the long run.
Complying with Your Volvo Log Book Servicing
We comply with manufacturer's log book servicing for your Volvo. In some circumstances, it is unnecessary to perform all the recommended servicing items and in these instances, we will explain them to you in full. For example, the manufacturer may recommend that coolant and brake fluid be replaced at periodic times. We have the equipment to test these fluids and gauge whether they do in fact, require replacement.
All servicing is carried out to the highest standard and fully documented. Service documents and records are kept for each car on our database.
